Local Singer/Songwriter Showcase (9/10/05)

Tonight’s show was, like day before yesterday, also a little bit of a snafu. It was a showcase of local singer/songwriters and it was originally booked for the 17th. But due to a conflict with another organization, it was bumped up to the 10th. Unfortunately, only a few of the performers knew this. Dan Cleberg started out the night, I played next, Altman Studeny played a couple tunes and the Blue Sky Rambler finished out the night. The crowd was also pretty meager until Blue Sky Rambler took the stage.

I used the same setlist from the 8th, knowing that I’d be playing most of the same songs anyhow. This show went well. The balance was good and I played some of the new stuff again and it was pulled off well. Unfortunately, there weren’t many people there that even knew it was new stuff. They started coming in right after I finished. But it went fine and I got to catch up with a couple people after the show that I haven’t seen for awhile.

It was a good night.
